They say a picture is worth a thousand words. If that’s true, then I’m going to give you thousands of words about our kitchen renovation that we did this summer.

After creating the design concept and doing the cabinet design, we worked very closely with our contractor to create this homeowner’s dream kitchen.

The Before

Take note of the honey oak cabinets, sunshine ceiling, awkward work space, petite island and overall dark feel.

The After Photos

Hard to believe this is the same kitchen. It’s bright, open, cheery and the layout was specifically designed for the way the homeowners live.

Wow! What a difference.

Who wouldn’t love to hang out in this bright and airy kitchen? We wanted to create a kitchen and eating area that would work for everyday meals for two, but easily host guests. Isn’t it true that everyone always hangs out in the kitchen. It really is the heart of the home.

I thought and thought about how to share this renovation project with you and I figured the best way was to present the before and after photos. This way you can see the extreme change that happened in this space.

We put so much into every renovation to get it just right for our clients. In the coming weeks I’ll do a post or two and dissect this renovation. There’s some really neat features that I want to share with you.
